about
The coastal community of Inverloch is known for having some of the safest and best beaches in the South East Victorian region. Also due to its close proximity to Melbourne, the town experiences a huge rise in tourist numbers over the summer season, particularly from Boxing Day to the end of January school holidays. You can expect the camp grounds, caravan parks and holiday rentals to be full to capacity during this time. It’s diverse coastal attractions have been well preserved with very little infrastructure residing too close to shore. This in my opinion, is what makes Inverloch an attractive and picturesque place to visit.

For great coffee, you can’t go past The Local for your daily caffeine hit. They also have some delicious home made cakes and gourmet sandwiches to choose from. Popular cafes for breakfast and lunch include Vaughan’s Cafe and Deli, the Beach Box and Bluette on Bear with a generous outdoor area. You’ll also find Paul the Pieman in the heart of town which has a huge seating area and plenty of bakery favourites on the menu.
Lunch and dinner options from all types of cuisine are also easily found around town. Tomo has been serving up a modern take on Japanese for years and is one of my top picks. The Chutney Bar rates highly for Indian as does Lime & Co for mexican delights. The fish tacos are my go to, and are fresh and simply delicous. For pub classics The Esplanade and The Inlet are both good choices and offer a relaxed atmosphere for diners with indoor and outdoor seating available.
For impressive ocean views, head to Radius Restaurant at RACV Resort. It is located along Cape Paterson-Inverloch Road and serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner.
For good takeaway options, you can grab burgers and gourmet pizza from The Bayside Lady or hit the park with a serving of fish and chips from Inverloch Fish and chips.
For wine lovers a visit to Harman Winery is a must, as well as the ever popular Dirty Three Wines, within walking distance from the main street.
